What is Linty?

Linty is a public index of the wholesale programs of food, beverage and pet brands.

1. 1.Who is Linty for?

   Linty is for businesses that want to stock a brand: retailers, distributors, wholesalers and foodservice operators.

   Linty is also for the agents that do this work for them.

2. 2.What does Linty show for each brand?

   • Whether the brand sells direct, through distributors only, or not at all.
   • Where to apply: a web form, a portal or an email address.
   • What the brand asks for: the fields of the form and the documents.
   • The source and the date of each fact.

3. 3.Does Linty submit applications?

   Linty does not submit applications yet. Each relationship page shows where to apply, with a link when the brand has one. You apply there.

4. 4.What comes next?

   Linty has an MCP server. An agent uses it to find brands that sell direct and to see what each brand asks for. The Agents page shows how to add it.

   Next, Linty will submit wholesale applications for the buyers that ask it to.

5. 5.How do agents read Linty?

   An agent can use the Linty MCP server at https://mcp.linty.xyz/mcp. It needs no key.

   Each brand, relationship, company and category page has a markdown twin at .md and a JSON twin at .json. A twin has the same facts as its page.

   The llms.txt file lists the categories and the formats.

6. 6.Where does Linty come from?

   Linty started inside Sidestream AI. Sidestream tried to open wholesale accounts with thousands of CPG brands.

   Many brands had a contact form, not an application. Many brands blocked automated access. Each form asked for the same company facts again.

   Linty publishes the public facts that Sidestream found, so that other buyers do not do the same work again.
